I doubt they would allow PCX's. PCX Has 14" wheels

This is from their rules:
2.1.1.2 wheels no larger than 10in.
• 2.1.1.3 originally equipped with a step-through style frame.

I thought so too, but ....... does the PCX meet 3 of 5 ?

2.1.1 A scooter is a two or three wheeled vehicle that satisfies AT LEAST THREE OF FIVE of the following conditions:

• 2.1.1.1 unit construction of engine, transmission and rear swingarm.
• 2.1.1.2 wheels no larger than 10in.
• 2.1.1.3 originally equipped with a step-through style frame.
• 2.1.1.4 originally equipped with running boards or leg shield.
• 2.1.1.5 a single cylinder engine design.

Good point - in that case it would probably qualify on 2.1.1.1 /4 and 5 :P

One of them ran in a previous Cannonball run. It was a 125cc I think. I am pretty sure a PCX could do it. If I were younger and had time and money to, I definitely would want to do it on a PCX.
I think my particular bike is well equipped for it. Just add a bit more storage and it should be ready to go.
Cup holder, got it. GPS holder, got it. Connections for charging cell phone and GPS, got it. Tailbox, got it. Extra running spotlights for night riding, got them. Strobe lights so the bike can be seen at night, got them. Adjustable shocks, got them.
Front and rear tires have around 5,000 miles on them, though they don't look it.

I imagine that mine is not the only one that is well equipped for that run. I would love it if someone would enter it from our forum. One thing I don't have is a blog....hmmm.... Homie?? Want to try out for the run? :-)

On the surface sounds like a fun challenge.. However, In reality 3000 + miles riding a PCX seat through rain , cold, sun, and mountains probably literally be a PITA.

I am sure that it would be a PITA, so it would have to be someone who does not mind some hardship. They mention at the website that riders should have sponsors to help defer the costs. I am thinking that the riders would have to be young and maybe even live at home, and maybe not have a job because otherwise I doubt that he could get time off for this run, unless his work is also his sponsor.
