The Honda PCX / Forza / ADV150 / SH Forums

Looking for recommendations on smartphone mounts for my HONDA FORZA NSS 300. I've seen several options but not sure what type might work best. Metal is preferable as well as no drilling or any kind of permanent alterations. Any suggestions are welcome and much appreciated

I use a RAM mount. It works great and the phone is secure.

This is the one I use. It's plastic, but it works good and is inexpensive.
It's for a bicycle, but it fits really nice between the handlebar mounts of my PCX.

Plastic?? If you have an accident do you think it will be strong enough to hold?

I screwed a RAM ball dead centre under my windscreen on the plastic with four screws. Unfortunately it looks like a butt plug when the arm and iPhone is not attached.

The print on the iPhone is too small to see while moving so I almost never put my phone there. The phone is in the left front Forza pocket and my eyes are on the road.

Just wanted to check that you're aware that the print size is adjustable over a HUGE range - I've bumped it up and made it bold for quite a few customers who want to be able to see things without wearing their reading glasses.

The software I want to use has no easy way of doing that. I also don't want to be distracted by the phone when I am riding. I should really leave it at home. Pain in the ass anyway. People leave me alone when I am on the road.

My phone cost me $24, If I get in an accident, it's the last thing I'll be worried about. LOL!!

My wife had her $600 Samsung phone connected to her bike by way of a RAM mount so that it could charge while we were riding. When we had our accident the phone was not being used. It was just charging. It did not move. The RAM mount works well, whether the phone costs $24 or $1,000.

I saw this on e-bay. What do you all think? I completely understand what you're saying. But paying 2-3x the cost of the phone to protect it in case of a accident, isn't a
primary concern for me. If I spent $600+ on a phone, I'd get a better mount.
Yeah, I'm a cheap ******!! But I'm on a limited income, so I save money where I can!!

Won't the magnet affect some of the phones sensors? Mind you the less expensive the phone, the fewer the sensors.

So I guess any compass app would be worthless. LOL!!

My wife and I have magnetic attaching pads on the dash of each of our cars, close to where the radio is. They hold the phone in place and don't interference with the Bluetooth we use to connect to our hands-free device.

Yes magnets won't affect Bluetooth. I was talking about the sensors in your phone. Download an app
like CPU-Z if you have an android phone to check its sensors. Three or more in a cheap phone. Shed loads in an expensive one. Quite stark the difference and a few affected by magnetism.

I bought one of these. The Quality seems good enough, most parts made of metal. It mounts on the mirror stalk, like a washer. But, most importantly, it's 15 dollars.

I can't vouch for any of the products in particular, but I have had excellent service buying from these guys. It is a long wait if you go with the free shipping, but for me a surprise (or, as my wife puts it, "another sketchy package") in the mail is kind of fun.
