Hi there.
I own the 150 PCX 2015 and I live in Greece.
I recently bought and received the Leo Vince Gp Corsa exhaust at a very low price from ebay.
The problem is that it is too loud!!! Even with the dbkiller that came along it is still very loud!!!!
I have ordered and been waiting to get a universal db killer form ebay that looks like a catalytic converter and goes on the other end of the muffler where the pipe ia attached to the muffler.
If both silencers are mounted do you think it will get significantly quieter?
Are there any other ways to make the Leo Vince quieter?
Im bored of the OEM exhaust and dont have the money or time to order another aftermarket exhaust system!

Would really appreciate any feedback

Thank you

WELCOME Nospa4
Good looking 2015 in black sir. Hang on to the stock exhaust, that aftermarket one as a nice appearance but you are the second to point out something of concern. The decibel level since I never owned it I can't help but we wait to see if anyone else can. The clearance to ground for your right bank has changed is more important. That expansion type header is what now contacts the ground first and has been reported. May never happen for your riding style but please be aware of tight turns that slope away for your ground clearance.

Thank you for your reply. I was aware of this issue with cornering and I haven't run into any problems concerning ground clearance during the three days that I had th LeoVince on . If I find a solution to the loudness I might give it another chance

I have been in your situation and many aftermarket exhaust are louder by design. You have two options, buy a more expensive aftermarket exhaust that is quiet or use your OEM exhaust. You might lose some torque from the freer flowing exhaust. Leo Vince has made quiet mufflers for other scoots, so there might be a better exhaust out there. Look into the Leo Vince Grand Turismo, looks like a big quiet muffler. As for those db Killers, they will help, but nowhere near to what an OEM exhaust sound level.

Why are you interested in aftermarket exhaust? The sound? More power? Looks Cool?

Hi,
Thanks for the info.
I wanted an aftermarket exhaust to replace the ugly and boring OEM and get a better sound but I did not expect the Gp Corsa to be so loud.
It took the sound from boring to waking the dead!
I want something in the middle, I will wait for the second silencer to see the result and if its still too annoying I will put the Leo Vince in my living room for decoration.

Look at the malossi if you decide to trade out. Polished seams, all stainless, no hose clamp look and a slightly throatier voice than stock but not really louder. Mines two years old and still looks new.

It is very nice and the quality looks great but it is way out of my budget at the moment.
The LeoVince along with the second db killer cost me under 150€ including shipment and thats why im trying to find a solution to reduce the dbs so I dont have to buy a new exhaust system.
How much did the Malossi cost? if you want to share that information off course

Personally I'm still liking the stock exhaust and will run with it until it's done but I must admit the Malossi looks good on the PCX.

Honestly I have no clue, I change the variator and the rollers, so the kick in my ass is probably that, not the exhaust. I bought it totally for the look. I will say that it is substantially lighter. It was 329 at scooterpartsco.com

Hi,

I received the second silencer today and Im going to give it a try.
Im going to fit the exhaust myself as I did the last time at home.
Since I dont have a torque wrench is there a way to know how much should I tighten the bolts?
The last time I did it, I got it as tight as I could without damaging anything.
What is the point of applying specific torque to the bolts, to prevent damage or to secure that it wont fall apart?

Thanks

You want the bolts to hold the part, not back out and not to strip the bolts.
When I don't know I go by the size of the bolts. From first hand experience, I know that ,10mm bolts break easily. For those I use the wrench as the measuring stick. Since the wrench is short, I use it by itself and I use my arms strength to torque the bolt, I don't use my body. It's hard to explain. You could always buy a torque wrench, they are somewhat inexpensive.
