Yes, I had a coolant leak in the head on a 2013 PCX behind the intake valve after about 6 months of riding and one year of ownership. I believe it was a manufacturing defect.

Well mine doesn't clean up after itself any more. It comes home all dirty and just brings the dirt right up into the carport. We've talked about it, but nope...it is either lazy or doesn't care. Doesn't even shake it off. Just cruises right up into my carport and sits there, dirt and mud falling get off of it's tires. How do you teach a 4 year old to pick up after itself?

I lost a motor in 2018. A local shop rebuilt it for me. Motor seemed to lock up for lack of oil, but I could have sworn that I had kept track of it.

One odd thing about my 2013 model: I have a leftover hospital cup with Metric markings on it and I can measure 800 cc's of oil exact ! After a change I pour the 800 cc's of oil back in and I should be able to read the level easily on the plastic plug dip stick. But it seems like it is slightly short of oil. Do any of you drain the oil and just measure 800 cc's of oil back in and just leave it that that ?

2010 PCX125: fractured centrestand mount on crankcase
2013 Forza300: leaky waterpump seal, knackered clutch bearings (plus a whole host of non-engine specific issues)

IIRC, I measure in 28 oz. your 800 ml is 27.05 oz, so not much difference. I do know that 29 oz is too much, though.

My 2010 had its crankcase replaced because the centerstand broke it off.

The guy at the shop was asked by Honda to interview me and ask all sorts of questions... Did you sit on it when it was on the centerstand? (yea, some) Did you tie it down to a trailer on the centerstand? (nope) How huge is that Maddiedog guy that he was able to sit on the centerstand and break the crankcase (150lbs, 165lbs if riding with the dog), etc.

They determined it to be a factory defect, but every PCX after the 2010 model year has reinforcing gussets on either side of the centerstand, so I think it was just poor design.

I heard of a guy drowning his PCX in a flooded road, that's about it. Just change the oil per the maintenance manual, and short of a fluke, the engine should last decades.

Friend in the Philippines commuted with his wife on a 125 Kymco for a few years - chained it to a tree at night while enduring 2 doz. typhoons every year. Finally one morning after another storm he found his scoot completely buried under mud a few streets down - still chained to the uprooted tree.
Thinking it now pretty much DOA, he sadly sold it to a neighbor for a song, and bought new.
A week later his neighbor happily waved to him from his old scooter - and has continued to do so every week now for 3 years.

I bought a 2013 PCX150 largely stored, with 7 miles on it in 2018.

I checked the oil dipstick normally, thought the oil was fine. It seized up, I assume because of a lack of oil at about 4,000 miles. puzzlement

I had it rebuilt with stock Honda parts.
