I saw the spray on-peel off paint at the store. I thought a splash of red on the matte finish parts by my feet might look good on an otherwise all black scooter. First, the paint was so thin that after five coats it was still mostly black. I put on a SLIGHTLY heavier coat and in ran. Not good. I decided to let it dry and peel it off. Once it dried it looked like dull, faded red brick. Truly awful. I got most of it off but there still some stuck in the nooks.
Then I decided to put on some tape stripes using 3M retroreflective red tape. I have used a kit from Cycle Gear on wheels before. This time I had no tool, just eyeballs. It turned out pretty good. Then it was on to the body for some flashy but subtle stripes. I followed the body line along the bottom and also the area below the passenger seat. I'll post some pictures later but I am happy with the result. Kinda like the Adam West Batmobile
