I was told about this a few weeks ago when chatting with one of the sales guys at my local Honda dealer.
It looks a little more basic compared to the bigger Kawasaki Vulcan S, and less polarising too I guess.
I like the look of it, it just needs something done about that exhaust. The only question is - red or silver?

I like it! The whole package! As is. This one needs to be owned in Silver chicaboo.

Definitely red.
Silver is a lie, its actually grey.
If I were looking for a custom-styley-kind-of-a-thing, it would have to be an XV950

Brown.
With vinyl stink lines if possible.

It's a very nice red they use, but they don't colour the rear fender, just the tank.gn2 wrote:Definitely red.

I see Honda Canada is offering both the 500 and 300 for 2017. I would be all over the 300 model in pearl white for about $4800 cdn (about the same as aus dollars) except after spending 8 hours shifting a Fuller Roadranger 18 speed in an urban environment in my Kenworth, the last thing I want to do is click any more gears.

CAD and AUS dollars might be roughly the same converted against the USD, but the markets are most certainly not.relic wrote:I see Honda Canada is offering both the 500 and 300 for 2017. We won't be getting the CMX/Rebel 300 here, but for reference the 500cc will start from $9000AUD plus on roads.
The CB(R)500F/X/R go for $8000AUD with on roads during promotions, otherwise on roads are an additional cost.
You might be able to get a PCX out the door for $4800 here, while the Forza is usually $7000-7500AUS plus on roads.

pcx 2017 listed here at msrp $4000- out the door $4800 cdn.
rebel 300 listed msrp 4800- out the door $5800?
the devil is in the details I guess. That fine print gets you every time.
My brother just bought a 2016 CRF250L msrp $5000 cdn, after financing and all the other fees-taxes over $7000 out the door,
it is a cruel world out there when someone decides to buy and then left to absorb all the hidden costs.
Grrr!

In Malaysia, the Rebel 500 would be RM31,798. Not including insurance.
