good guys. after more than 35 thousand km and 2 years of use with 164cc kit from yuminashi mounted on my pcx of 2010 jf28, this weekend was the time to withdraw circulation.
for 2 times I had problems with the head gasket, in the past I had problems with the oil consumption that was increasing.
after contacting yuminashi about these problems, i got the answer that this kit was giving these problems and that the solution could (they were not sure) go through putting the 150cc engine head and or lowering the cylinder capacity (changing the 164cc cylinder for 160cc).
after that i decided to assemble the original kit at least until january / february 2021, by which time i should send for another kit but 160cc ... i will give you news .... good curves to everyone ... protect yourself (covid 19)

Very interested to see how it goes for you, I have only 700 miles here in U.S. on the 164cc kit. I installed a few weeks ago. So far very everything runs well no problems yet. Hope you have good luck with your new kit. What weight rollers do you use? I am using 12grams in yuminashi variator with stock gears except for 44tooth final gear and cruise 70mph at 8500-8600 rpm. I am still waiting on exhaust that I ordered , hopefully will allow the motor to
"breathe" better on the top end to maintain speed on big hills.
Are you still using yuminashi controller for A/F or do you have a different one ?

Hello good afternoon . I think you are using the 12 gr rollers with the gates belt and the yuminashi inverter as well as the poly. in relation to the box I have mounted 13/53/44 on the road is 145 kh, in the central rest it is 158kh. I have a lambda probe emulator, and a 170cc type b injector. that according to the yuminashi team, it was due to not having this injector fitted that I had a bigger and faster wear of the kit. let's see how it looks now with the new kit ... I have also assembled the power inertia of yuminashi, and now I bought the new fan for a higher air flow to the radiator. together with a 1.6 radiator cap instead of the original 0.9.

Good morning everyone... Yesterday I was on foot for the first time with the machine... after 11 years and 80,000 km... The bike started because I couldn't accelerate very much, that is, I managed to reach 70/80 kh... However, it didn't go over 40/50kh until I was just on the fly.... I called the trailer home and thought it was the gas pump... I went to test it and the pump makes more than 3 bar of pressure., .. I assembled the original injector and it was ok... However, when I look carefully, I verify that the injector microfilter is completely covered with rubbish.....
I took it apart and cleaned it... it was spotless... I couldn't figure out where so much garbage came from since the gasoline well has a filter too...
I decided to dismantle the pump and came to the conclusion that inside the pump filter there is another filter that must be undoing!!!!
The great evil is not just the filter sold.

good morning dear bikers. here is a little of what is in the chest to be mounted on pcx. kit yuminashi 164cc v2 comes including an injector and everything, the cylinder has many changes compared to v1 as you can see in the photos. the head gasket has been fixed with more water holes and a 0.5mm thicker copper gasket , among other changes highlights are a larger holes for faster oil return to the engine crankcase , engine turbine kit for greater cooling , box even more elongated

Power-full,

I really appreciate the detailed information that you put into your posts! It is all very well documented. A BBK is not something that I am considering at the moment but I will definitely come to you for help if I ever do.

I also like your home country. I spent a week in Portugal at the end of December and really enjoyed myself!

Thanks again!

Good morning my partner, whenever I can and I can I will be happy to help.

it's just a shame it's so cold around here, so I was already doing a new operation on the PCx engine but as it's so cold I can't stop the PCx and ride the Yamaha maxster, I'll have to wait until the end of March, April to be able to do it a new operation to the engine....

Good morning! I had an engine overheat after 180 km. Before that, I installed the Yuminashi 164cc package. The head was tightened with a force of 28 Nm. It turned out that one stud was torn off in the crankcase. Can the copper gasket be reused or did you use a new one? Thanks!

the gasket must always be new. because the joint comes with a height to be crushed when it is tightened that's what makes the seal.

when assembling the new gasket you must start the motorcycle for 5 to 10 minutes stopped in place to warm up the engine and open the thermostat, to picture the circuit. I usually do it like this: I fill the radiator with antifreeze, put the radiator cap on (be careful it cannot be the original cap which is 0.9 bar, it has to be 1.6 bar) I start the bike at idle, then I start accelerating around 30/40 Kh or so and I'm putting my hand on the down tube that comes to the radiator (be careful not to touch the exhaust tube) when the radiator tube starts to get hot turn off the engine. after about 30/40 minutes, open the radiator cap, refill the level as needed (almost always accurate), put antifreeze in the expansion vessel and good curves....
