Getting ready for winter
Over the last week I have
Checked the valves, inlet too tight so adjust.
Installed heated grips.
Charge indicator LED.
Fork gaiters.
USB and power socket.
Alarm
LED light to illuminate ignition switch.
Rev meter.
Power supply for GPS.
Painted engine and forks black.
Oil change, transmission and engine.
Touched up the metalwork and wax oiled everything not visible.
Just got to assemble now, nothing broken yet.

Re: Getting ready for winter
no sink? where's the kitchen sink? Why are you doing this now? Is it cold already over in UK town? I don't think I have ever seen one that dismantled. You might have to go on the whisperer list

Re: Getting ready for winter
"Why am I doing this now", well I have had all these bits for 2 years (except the alarm), I do like to plan a good job though my friends think I'm just a lazy C*&t.
Kitchen sink, still not found the right one.

Excellent! Obviously, when you are not lazy (according to your friends ), you do things right.
I wouldn't mind seeing a side view pic of the forks when it is put back together.

I have a leather Belstaff jacket or Frank Thomas textile suit. Got a thermoscud which I didn't fit last winter but will this year.axeltow wrote:Wow, serious stuff.

The hand guards make so much difference, I can ride in the rain without my gloves getting wet. They only get wet when I stop.

I need to prep for winter. Any suggestions for tyres? Waa thinking of a city grip or maybe a proper winter tyre.

Guards every time, mine are Barkbusters, expensive but very good. Still on original tyres.Carl wrote:Whats better? Re: Getting ready for winter
Have you topped up your indicator fluid? charged the flux capacitor, and infused the ignition relays with cabbage?
