anti theft measures for a Honda PCX 150 other than an alarm

Hi all! :D
I am looking into getting a PCX and I don't wanna pay for full coverage to protect theft. What security features can I get for it that would secure it other than an alarm system, as I'm already getting one and installing it myself.

A 125 PCX was stolen from my back yard, chained up with substantial galvanized proof coil. The chain was cut with boltcutters, from the appearance of the debris on the ground.
I did replace it with a 150 PCX
I now have some hardened lifting chain, 5/8". The chain has a ringing sound when handled. Most boltcutters wont open far enough to cut it. Most bolt cutters dont have enough power to cut this type of chain. Make sure the padlock is not the weakest link. Also, a disc lock with alarm, and a security camera.
I do recommend insurance. The agent who investigated my claim said he has seem most attempts fail. Chain, shed, garage, alarms, lights all failed. He said keeping in the house is the best security.
The chain:

I have a disc lock for when ridding and parking for short time where the bike is unattended.

For home, I have a parking spot and I park the scooter behind my car. I built an anchor out of 2 pieces of metal and put in on the ground. I feed an ABUS chain through it and to my wheel.

This is a professional ground anchor - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri8Ezk_QhDc
Can't tell opinion on the product, I am just showing it to see what I mean.

I used this DIY video for guidance - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf-cPz0vSbA

This is the chain I have - https://www.louis.eu/artikel/abus-ionus ... n/10001781

I know I can't eliminate theft but I tried to make it as harder as possible so thieves might say "nahh...lets not waste 20 minutes on this one. there are others far easier to steal"

Great to see Abus getting a mention. I have always used their security devices (shackle, disc lock and padlock & chain) on my motorcycles and never (touch wood) had one stolen. As for my PCX125, I'll probably stick with just the disclock for the short periods of time it's left unattended on the street.

Don't. A pcx can be lifted and carried away in matter of seconds as i found out while staying at my brothers. the bike was just in front of his place and we were at the 2nd floor with great view to the street, all windows opened. It disappeared while staying there less than an hour and it was'nt even dark by then.

That abus Ionus lock posted before is not too great, security level 9. if your are concerned by weight and space, get something like this security level 17:
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B009ENK1CG/ref ... 71_TE_item i got that for 83 Eur- shop around as prices seem to have gone up

Be sure to take the long bolt, the bolt fits between the opening of the spokes of the rear wheel- it's a tight fit. It will still be heavy in the luggage box but is much more convenient that what i had before: https://www.amazon.de/Abus-32869-Antivo ... ranit+12ks

Does the PCX-150 have any kind of point to put a chain or cable that was designed for anti-theft. Like a ring somewhere on the frame, etc. Or do you just try to feed it "through the bike" somewhere. I don't see anything in my Owner's Manual. My bike is a 2015.

I'm not sure you would have heard about it before, as I don't think they are in the US with dealers yet, but maybe 50% or more of the PCX riders I've seen in London use the EasyBlock lock. It's become the standard lock for the courier community. It's a bit different from other locks as it's fitted directly to the scooter and you give it a kick to lock your bike, which takes like a second.

Not saying it's the solution to stop all motorcycle theft, but it definitely helps in the city when I stop 100 times a day.
