i have never had a problem starting my pcx until a few days ago. it just turns over but wont start so i guess battery flat as the lights dimmed.

i have a solar battery charger i bought to use to charge my caravan battery. so i hook it up to the pcx battery [ i think charge rate is 2 amps ]

how long will it take to fully charge the battery ? i dont have a volt meter and there is no meter on the solar charger.

is the pcx battery a 12 volts ?

thanks

At 2 amps, I'd let it go certainly a few days of sun.....batt maintainers are small, not really a charger.

Be aware a batt that is dead is damaged permanently in a partial way, longevity is compromised.

2 amps sounds like a lot for a solar charger, it might be 2 watts. I have a solar charger that is 4x8 inches that I leave on my bike all winter.

What are the dimensions of your solar panel?

Some of the bigger panels put out 2 amps.

Might be worth pulling the fuses for the lights to see if that frees up enough current to get things going.

i have already got battery out so have just connected the battery to solar charger, perhaps i'll leave it charging for 2 days but disconnecting it at night.
