Did your PCX come with tools?

I think I remember seeing some videos of people showing the little tool set that came with their PCX.

The only thing that came with my 2016 PCX150 was the helmet strap and a little black case that looks like it should have a tool set in it. I'm guessing the dealership took the tools that came with it for what ever reason.

Yeah mine came with tools in that case - a small hex key and small screwdriver if memory serves. May as well splash out on a bikers toolcase for about £15 with common tools, light, and zip bacg than carry what honda gives you (or not!).

Yes, mine was the same -- no tools, just the helmet strap. I simply carry the tool kit I worked up for my old CB 550, with a few deletions (don't need to carry four extra spark plugs or a spare chain link).

Helmet leash and a screwdriver.

tool kits not worth having, I suspect its crap metal anyway, best to put together what you need in a little leather wrap yourself.

Don't feel bad. It wasn't much of a tool kit.

Out of curiosity, exactly what tools should be carried in a small tool kit under the seat?

For those of us who are fairly new riders, who really don't have a good idea of what ought to be there.

Early U.S.A. PCX models (2011 maybe 2013?) came with a few tools in a black vinyl snap pouch.
My 2015 has the same pouch with only a helmet strap/cable inside it. I asked the same question bigmike when I took delivery. Honda's pinching pennies.
They can have 'em, their tools are cheap quality anywho. Put together my own, plus some :ugeek:
(No, I do not carry them all).

Heh! I just bought this really cool tire guage on sale, it arrived two days ago. I got it on sale, $25.00.
Has 5 yr. warranty. Built like a tool should be! Haven't tried it yet. Rec'd good reviews.
Folks at Roadgear are Friendly with good email communication.

Now considering one (2?) of these: (I will wait for their Sale notification email)

What tools do you generally carry with you?

An air pressure guage is always a good start.
A set of metric sockets. 1/4 & 3/8 drives
And a pair of socket wrenches to match the sockets
An emergency tire repair kit
A #2 Philips screwdriver
A bicycle pump (I have a foot pump under my seat)
A couple of towels.
Bungees
Maybe some heat resistant tape.

That's a bare minimum I think, but you don't want to fill up your storage too much.

I also just got a helmet strap.
First things I threw under the seat were a Leatherman tool, LED Flashlight, padlock/cable, thin wind-breaker (in a pouch), & a drawstring backpack.

I hope Honda keeps putting those quality high grade steel tools. The lasting first impression a new buyer gets is soooooooooo elated that one tends to be over whelmed with confident that he has chosen well with Honda. I know I teared up when I saw them and the little mystery cable kept me in wonder and amazement for days.

Just bought a new 2017 and noticed it came without tools. Squirrel went back to the dealer (Dewar Creek Motorsports, Grafton Wisconsin) and they said some come without tool kits, They've always been excellent and gave Squirrel a PCX tool kit at no charge; I'll look at what's in it later today.

I've got two phones that are 10,000mAh I could use those.

If it wasn't for that pesky kickstart..
