I am very impressed with the Schuberth. It fits me perfectly. I can't get over how quiet it is. What an excellent purchase. :D I love Black Friday's.

Will a large or extra large fit under the seat of my Forza 300?

It's most likely to be the large out of the two...

I put a second Sena mount on the Schuberth so I can switch the unit until I see a bargain sale on another. I went with the ear buds this time instead of speakers like other helmet although the mount kit has both. Less background wind noise although the speakers work just fine for phone calls. The music aficionados prefer the ear buds. Did I mention I love this helmet. My wife said I looked ridiculous walking around the house with it on. :P

Looks like there's a microphone by your mouth and what is that sticking out of the side of the helmet?

And I'm definitely getting a chuckle, thinking about your wife watching you wander about the house in that.

That is the electronic/control unit. You can operate that with you fingers - even with gloves. It unsnaps and snaps on to my other helmets that have mounts already. Sena's work very well. If my wife calls me she cannot tell I am on a motorcycle unless I tell her.

You can see one of my other helmets by the chair in the picture. lol

Homie - are you getting an iridium shield for the Schuberth?

Love these units
The smh10 and 10R are two Sena units that have diff application. The 10 shown above snaps off for recharging, and can be moved to another helmet and you can buy just the portion that attaches to the helmet and speakers. It's the way to go if you have multiple helmets. The 10R is a unit that is made for one single helmet and the battery is separate, can be hidden inside and the control unit shown here is much smaller on the helmet face. But it does not detach. As far as I can tell, they have the exact same feature set. I own both:

They are cool and the new "10S". 8) I am hoping when these hit the shelves real soon the old 10 will get a discount.

Sena 10S Bluetooth Headset

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sena ... th-headset

The tried and true SMH-10 has received a overdue update in the form of the Sena 10S. The slimmer profile hides a leap in technology, as the 10S enriches your riding experience by adding communication with up to four riders via crystal-clear HD audio, up to 1.6 km (1 mile) away, through the One Touch Group Intercom. The universal intercom feature allows you to communicate with Sena and non-Sena communicators alike.

Stunning HD quality sound is a hallmark of the 10S, and so is Sena’s Advanced Noise Control that ensures ambient noise doesn’t interfere with incoming and outgoing audio. Bluetooth 4.1 technology, improved stereo Bluetooth speakers, and advanced architecture creates a smooth, crisp, and responsive user experience you’ll love.

Interesting :)
I've been looking at helmets again, after ignoring them for several years
And was curious about all the ones with Sena options.

Do folks use these with their cell phones or to talk to other riders on a group ride or both?

Both: music, phone and intercom.

If you look the newer communicators allow three or four folks to intercom in a group. The range increases with the newer and better units too although I have never needed more than 1/2 mile. If you exceed that you just call them on the phone.

The very best video demo's and instructional tutorials come from Revzilla. I go straight o their website first for information and product review and will purchase from them if affordable every time. Revzilla's customer service is top notch and I might have to let go of my modular LS2 medium that does fit under the PCX seat for a Shuberth soon.

Thanks for hustling this up just in time for Christmas.

I just did a first long ride with the Schuberth. With the shield snapped shut it is incredible quiet and zero fogging with the pin lock lens. I thought it was cold out and had on some new Baffin snow boots and the full winter gear. I had to stop at the red covered bridge about 20 miles south and peel half of the stuff off. I looked down and it was 55 F. I am good to 35 or a bit less without using any electric heating and we rarely go below that for long here. January avg. high is normally the 40s.

Anyway I loved the helmet. The tint screen is not real effective on the strong clear sun glare I had today so I will still order an iridium shield. I went with the ear buds but the ones I am using don't stay in very well. I may need something better holding. That said the sound is great.

Agreed, revzilla on video is outstanding, he really knows his stuff. Just got the Sena/Bell Mag 9 with built in Smh10 unit- very clever and sounds great. Drop down jet pilot shield darker than my other hats.

Another discovery, the SMH 10 module when your recharging it, can sit the pins directly on the surface with no protection. Watch those pins.

Just got off the phone with revzilla cust serv on another matter, but I asked them before we got off, what was the3 "coolest" helmets they sold, ones with the best flow through ventilation. Because I am in stopped Miami traffic in the sun many times. Their answer was 2 expensive Shoei and Arai helmets, their third response was the Shubert C3… Looks like one of those is in my future too!
