Hi guys! I own both pcx and a grom. Grom engine have a lack of power, 60 mph is rarely seen. But, grom is way more fun to ride, to throw it in the traffic, to do some stunts, etc. On pcx I feel myself relaxed, but on a grom bike provokes me to do bad things :) PCX is hardly tuned 190cc beast btw, grom is waiting for its portion of parts.. I did own CBR600RR, GSX-R1000, I don't want big bikes more. I like small bikes, they are more fun to ride, they just different.

Being 5'5 and not weighing all that much, I just wanted something small as I can bearly get 2 feet down flat on the PCX lol I thought the Grom would be a perfect size, and I love the look of them! plus the fastest I need to go is 50mph and that's only if I go to a certain place, so it's mostly 20-40mph so the Grom seems like a good Bike for me to have....

I LIKE IT!
I always walk over and sit on the Grom when I visit my Honda Dealer. I've only seen fire truck red but maybe there are color options. You should get that little red Grom and ride the crap out of it.

BTW - the trip above was about 100 miles over 5 hours with several breaks. He did fine for that long on the Grom.

In the UK there are four choices, boring black, pearly white, valentine red and MARIGOLD YELLOW!

I'm getting depressed lol i've been looking at peoples Grom photos on Instagram as well, liking the mods you can get for it, not that i'd get much and I love the way they look already, but obv just new Mirrors and little things like dust caps etc.
and i'd get the red/black one as all the stuff I got for my Bikes are red/black.... was hoping to get one and learn so I can do my full test in June/July, but not sure whether to just stick it out until June/July and redo my CBT on a geared Bike as i'll have the whole day to learn and ride etc...
still waiting to hear back from the CBT guy though to see if he does lessons (not just for the CBT tests etc).... plus i'd have to sell my PCX before I buy the Grom...

If you hadn't bought the aftermarket exhaust you wouldn't have a stripped bolt hole.......

Could of happened with the stock Exhaust... the same bolt is used from the stock, having to take the Exhaust off and putting it back on for whatever reason (change a tyre, brake pads etc) obviously just over done it when tightening, plus i'd rather have the louder Exhaust and a stripped bolt hole now than still have the stock Exhaust on the Bike :-)

I thought you were going to keep both bikes. I wouldn't want only a Grom. The PCX is a much better all around bike. The Grom is better for launching off of curbs and doing wheelies.

The Grom has lots of low end torque for doing wheelies but peaks out at 8.5 HP which is why it's freeway legal but not particularly suitable. With 50 mph or 80 km/h speed limits, no a huge issue. 13 HP is pretty much the minimum you want to go on ~60 mph urban freeways for any good distance, but it's not quite enough for rural 70 mph+ high speed freeways.

I only need 20-50mph, mostly 30mph though.
20mph passed certain Schools I pass,
30mph on other streets around my area
and 50mph on a certain road I go on,
never had to do any more than that,
when I eventually do my full Bike test and i'm more confortable with gears and ridinf overall then i'll get a bigger cc, but I have no reason to go on any Motorways or carry passengers etc yet.
