Hi,
It seems that the Fuel consumption has increased with approx 10-15% after my fuel pump has been switched.
At least the meter says so, before it was around 0.33l/km and now it is 0.38-0.4l/km.
I haven't really checked when filling up (will do so next time).
Has anyone else seen this? could it really be so?
or is it maybe the meter that shows wrong and needs to be re-calibrated after the switch?

Re: Fuel consumption after Fuelpump exchange
Theoretically it should not happen. Even if the new fuel pump would supply larger volume through higher pressure - as the engine is mostly operating in closed loop - the ECU, based on O2 sensor feedback should decrease the injector opening times.
Check the real consumption after the first full refill.
I'm not aware if the consumption monitor can be calibrated, but an ecu reset might solve the issue.

Re: Fuel consumption after Fuelpump exchange
I think the colder weather is causing the different

Re: Fuel consumption after Fuelpump exchange
Now I have measured at re-fill.
8,84 liters after 25,7 km --> a consumption of 0.3439 l/km.
The meter showed 3.7 l / 100km.
So....case closed? it doesn't seem like the actual consumption increased (only very very little, which could be explained by the weather as dadragon mentioned) but the meter is definitely showing wrong figures, not much but anyway.
I'll ask the technician when the tire exchange is occurring, if he could reset the ECU maybe.
