Top box: Givi B37 or B47 ?

Post by jblye »

I was looking for a Givi top box for my 2015 PCX150 on the Tour and Ride website.
Now, I'm trying to decide which would be the best choice: The B37 (37 liters) or the
B47 (47 liters). The B47 might be more practical (more capacity), but is it really
too big for the the PCX150 ? If any of you have used the B47 on the PCX, how did
that work out for you ? Pictures would be appreciated, if possible.

BTW: The Tour and Guide rep told me that the Givi and Kappa brands that they sell
are actually identical and are made in the same Givi factory. Generally, the Kappa
brand costs less. Kappa also sells some "adventure" type top boxes that can be
used on the PCX.....not sure how that would look, but they do appear to have a very
practical shape and look very sturdy.

Thanks
Johnny

Yes, my pick too is Shad - SH33 or the SH37
I've been on the fence for awhile whether I should get a top case or not. I've been in touch (via email) with Shad customer service rep Michael asking if I can get a White Lid on their SH33 top case (along with optional backrest).

He told me to select the Silver color lid and then send a quick note once the order is placed. He said "He" would make sure that it shipped with a White lid. He also stated that he asked this to be added to the options (drop down menu) for this model. Note that if you scroll down this page you will SEE a White Lid as an option, but it's Not listed in their drop down box while you order. That's Why I wrote them. Convoluted.

The other one I am considering is the SH37, with White lid with optional backrest:

As of yet, I have not placed an order. But these are my two choices.

Up to you Johnny, shopping can get so confusing. I always say....The menu's too Big!! Choices, choices

I have a 300 Forza with a Shad SH45. It's far sturdier than the equivalent 45l top brands xes I've used on bigger motorbikes. And in the UK they're way cheaper than Givi.

Size Reay doesn't matter in terms of looks. If you just want to get a helmet in go for up to 35l. If you want to fit 2 full-face helmets in or hour clothes when you get off, or a fair sized shop, get a 45l.
