first service.

Post by Seph »

So the time has come. I've hit the 600miles mark and I'm currently drinking what they class as coffee in Starbucks.
My PCX is over the road in the dealership garage getting its first service.

I really wish I'd brought a book. :?

I pay a service plan. £96 upfront (which is the first and half the second) then £19 the next month. then £26 there after and I don't have any surprises when I go for any service. It was all ok took 2 hours though.
They did say the first service would of been £69 if I didn't have my service plan They didn't have much to say, tbh once they've sold you everything I found this dealership's customer service rather rude.

Not got any further than the break, mirror and new handle bar caps.
Going to start the Tupperware job this bank holiday weekend I think. It was my daughters first birthday the weekend just gone
so had a massive party to attend to. Marquee, bouncy castle and catering; not to mention I ended up tending my own home built bar lol.

2hr's service with the plan, and £69 without - so does that mean without a plan they just do an oil change and charge £69, and with the plan they do more (or keep the bike longer?).

I've just had my first service done for £80 which basically only involved a visual check and oil change. They tried to sell me the serivce plan, but it works out £910 for 4 services (£26 * 35), 2 of which are only oil changes. Can get an independent to do it for half that!

Nope, same thing. They had it for 2 hours because even though they booked me in for 1pm they went to lunch for an hour. I wasn't happy. Oil and test drive is pretty much all they did.

I wanted to look for independent but long story involving my father in law and his interfering ways.
