New 2015 Forza owner!!

Post by strkngfang »

I decided to trade in my much loved PCX125 for a new Forza. My wife still has her PCX150, so I can still experience it's greatness. I needed a little more weight, more power and a larger seat and backrest. The Forza has been the perfect fit, right between the PCX and Silverwing.

Does anyone know, is the 279cc engine the same that powers the CB300 line of motorcycles?

No.
A motorcycle engine is completely different from a scooter engine.
There may be some shared components though.

Thanks. The windshield was a necessity and very inexpensive.

I do know the Forza's 279cc engine powers the Honda SH300i, sold overseas.

No it doesn't, the two engines are different.

Not according to this article, also on Motorscooter guide & SHcooter.com all claim that it is?

More than two years ago when the Forza 300 was launched Honda Europe had a press release on the Forza 300 detailing the changes to the engine, at the time I posted information from and a link to it in another forum: http://www.maxi-muppets.co.uk/forum/vie ... 59#p177459
That Honda link no longer works, but the information it contained is now available here: http://hondanews.eu/eu/en/motorcycles/m ... press-pack
As it says, the Forza engine is based on the SH.
The Forza engine is not the same engine as the one fitted to the SH.
That's not me saying that, its Honda.
The linked articles from Visordown and 2commute are just poor journalism.

Do the new Forzas have LED lighting?

The new Forzas are $4600 here in Thailand. How much in the good ole US of A?

New Forza 125 with LED lighting is £4000 OTR - with ABS. As expected, more costly than in Thailand.

I really like the looks of your Forza. I was allowed a test ride on one and thought it rode great, very smooth and gains speed much more quickly than my Honda Reflex.
