How to remove the speed limiter?

I have been taking my pcx on the interstate and at 65mph I feel something limiting the scooter. Can the limiter by removed from the scooter?

That is the engine rev limiter you are feeling as it comes up against redline. If the parts are still fairly new so that they don'e have a groove in the front pulley you can increase top speed gearing by replacing the rollers with 12gm DrPulley sliders to get another 4-5 mph. If there is some wear already then the belt might not climb over it to realize any improvement and then you would have to go the other route by installing an NCY fron Variator and drive face which takes the gearing up to a theoretical 80 mph at redline and will give you at least 70 mph on the road even into a slight wind if you crouch. Read through the threads in the performance section for info.

I use 13's, and am quite pleased with my top speed boost as well as much stronger acceleration in the 15 to 45 mph range. I can usually hit 69-70mph, more if with a tailwind, less with a headwind. It is only 12 hp after all.

What would 13's do to the mileage? I mean, theoretically it should be better, but is it possible that having to wind it up a little more
at low revs in traffic, kills the mpg? Bear with me I'm new at this! I haven't ridden a 125 since the seventies, so getting on my pcx after all that time was a revelation! What a great little motor.

My milage was unchanged, but i should point out that the majority of my miles are at over 50 mph, at which speeds the weights are all are
the way out and no longer a factor.

Most people here seem to have no real change to their economy after the weight change.

My fuel economy didn't change with the addition of the sliders either and I am also running at 55 mph 80% of the time so whatever weight of rollers will be pinned all the way out before that speed.

Fuel economy drops a bit at city speeds.

No matter what I do to it though, fuel economy doesn't seem to drop below 80 mpg.

That's below the stated mpg, but it generally lasts enough that I only have to fill up once a week with regular use.

Can someone post a link to the exact dr pulley sliders 13g I need as Ive found quite a few different ones.

My 2015pcx 150 has 1800 miles on it, is it likely to have a groove in the pulley?

Is there a how to install the sliders on here.

Is there any negatives effect the 13g sliders will have?

but with 1,800 miles on the bike there may be enough of a groove in the front pulleys that you won't get much top speed increase. In which case you would be better off to spen a little more and get a complete NCY variator which will definitely make the gearing much longer so you can have a wind limited 70 mph top speed and hit 78 downhill in a tuck.

You have to use round rollers with these. Set the weight so that the trans pulls at 8,000 rpm for full load accel from 20-50 mph.

If mine ever wear out I'm going to try 11gm next. Since I replaced my vario and belt and the gearing has gotten longer, I am only pulling at 7,800 rpm and it was a little quicker at 8,000. I recommend 12gm as a start.

I wonder if you order there if you will ever really get them. The NCY drive face seems to be unobtaium and many web sellers list products that they never had, think they can get, but never do.

I'm personally wondering if the NCY Drive Face is even necessary. After eyeing the NCY Vario with the AdvancePro drive face, the drive face actually seems to be larger.

Here was my shot at it. About the only difference was I didn't take off any panels. I have about 1000 miles on the NCY stuff and it does great. I just used it on vacation in the Ozark mountains.
