First impressions

I picked up my new PCX about 3 hours ago. I had a 29 mile ride home from my dealer via an industrial area and then mostly country lanes. I was quietly impressed with the performance of the machine. Being an ex-biker I felt it a little odd not having to reach for the clutch when coming to a stop but other than that was quickly into my stride. It's such an easy, user-friendly scooter. The stop-start function willl be useful on trips into Brighton as I have loads of traffic lights en-route but for my normal commute will not really be necessary as I can do the journey from home to Gatwick without ever putting my feet down. My Givi screen is useful in keeping the blast out of my face (and it was very windy today I can tell you) and there was no obtrusive buffeting. I am impressed with the Givi topbox but my full-face lid will comfortably go under the seat with all my wet weather paraphernalia. Yes folks, I am well pleased with my PCX and can see it making my day-to-day travelling a breeze. This scooter is going to get some serious use. I will try to post some pictures soon.

That was similar to my first impressions :). The lack of clutch and foot brake really threw me off but now I'm totally used to it. Did you get the 125 or 150?

I got the 125 Eddie. Had I hung on a little I would have got the newer engine too but I'm not too bothered as this little scooter is brilliant for it's size. I had a Yamaha RXS100 a while back and though that was a good commuter I think I will have more fun on the PCX.
I got half a tank of fuel so will fill up some time next week ;-) I will put my 'fuelly' thing in my signature then

It is showing as "available" on honda.co.uk, you might have to check with the dealer. It might be a few more months until the showrooms are cleared of the older model without esp.

I have done over 800 miles on my PCX so far and I am very pleased with it,except for the slow leak in the front tyre.

Take the wheel off, stick it in a bath of water and you should see where the air is leaking from.
