Has anyone heard anything about the Yamaha XMax 250 being sold in the states? It sure looks like it would be a nice scooter. It's been out for a while. I sure hope they bring it here for us to enjoy. Thanks for your help. Ride safe my friends.

It's not being brought into North America for at least 2015 according to company rep.

Thank you for your reply. I just ordered a Kymco Downtown 300i. Had I been able to buy the new Yamaha X-Max 250 I would have ordered it today. I hope we see it here in 2016. Ride safe my friend.

I test rode the Downtown 300i several times and really liked it. The only trouble is it is for someone not taller than maybe 5'7-8". If I knew back then I had someone close by to reupholster the seat like I do - I may have bought that instead of my Forza.

I doubt it will come here at all. I think there are two reasons why. First, scooter sales in the USA are very small and dropped a couple of percent from last year. Second the XMax is built in Europe and that would make it very expensive to import and sell in the USA. If they set up a plant in Asia to make them then that would be a different story. Yamaha just started importing the SMax 155 which is built in Taiwan and they are touting it as the scoot between the Zuma 125 and the Majesty 400. The big 4{well 3 since Kawasaki does not sell any scoots here} never have a very big selection of models and I don't think they ever will.
