Post by dog64bull »

I just seen a motorcycle with an engine guard and that had me thinking. Are their engine guards for the pcx? Im just really curious.

I guess?

There's no picture of how or where they attach, so effectiveness is questionable. But honestly, given the price of the PCX, it may be easier to simply let insurance total it and give you money to buy a new one.

A light crash will crack a few panels. A more serious crash would probably do enough damage that it'll be cheaper to replace the whole thing. Only worth it on more expensive bikes where the engine comprises most of the cost of the bike.

They're basically the oggy knob equivalent for the right side of the bike. Looks like it fits under the exhaust as so

I have the same one on my 2010 PCX 125. I put it on because: 1) I like the looks of it [which is why I put most of the accessories on my PCX]. 2) It will catch the curb before the motor does, which is important with the way we cut between cars and the curb here in Bangkok.
