Honda does not own a refinery. They just license other people stuff, you can use any 10W-30 oil from any major manufacturer.

I have used 80W90 gear oil or any 10W30 I have lying around in my final drive.

I rode today, the weather was great.

I have 167,869 km or 104,309 miles on my 2014 Honda Forza 300.

It's a scooter not a racing motorcycle, don't be too fussy.

I recently did a very dusty ride where they were doing chip seal road repairs. 10 km of dust.

I cleaned my belt air filter today with whatever dish soap I had (Dollar store Palmolive, orange scent).

Squeeze the water out in the sink and install it right away.

It is a cheap piece of foam rubber, don't worry about it.

Thanks for that perspective. In years past, I got wrapped up with the idea of needing to clean, sanitize, and micro-measure everything I was working on. Not so much anymore. I still service and replace things like filters, fluids, and tires before they're scheduled. But, not worrying about the small stuff has allowed me to enjoy riding my bike more than working on it.

I was in Halfords today, they had a bottle marked "10w40 Scooter Gearbox oil"
That will do.
Also took the exhaust off and gave it a nice got of Metallic Black (Grey in reality) VHT paint.
Looks quite good

In Canada we have nothing that says Scooter.

We have almost no scooters around me. There are slightly more electric scooters than gas ones.
