That interceptor looks pretty sweet! From the front anyways. The back window looks really weird... Looks like a nice American muscle car. Love the gas mileage too!!

Interceptors and Jensen CV8's used American Chrysler engines, as did Bristol and Facel Vega. Sounds fantastic but it's a dinosaur now.

Here's a nice little vid from Top Gear:

Luckily it is sunny here most of the time, but in the monsoon season (starting now), it sometimes hoses down like you would not believe, then I take the truck - 2004 Isuzu D-Max

I'm on the waiting list for a new Ford Ranger but due to last year's floods here in Thai, there is a backlog. I ordered in March and expect delivery in September but ain't gonna hold my breath. I've had a fair few new "big" bikes but never a new 4-wheeler. As I'll be hitting my half century this year, I thought I'd treat myself. 2012 Ford Ranger Wildtrack in Chilli Orange:

You guys with the big trucks make me jealous as hell - I'd love a Ford SVT Raptor but we don't get any big horsepower stuff here unless it's a personal import and that costs 200% of the car's original value. Mind you, given that the majority of the locals are fucking nutters in low BHP vehicles, maybe that ain't such a bad thing! ;)

Cheers,

Pikey.

Whoa, that new Ranger looks SWEET! We won't get any more Rangers in the USA, sadly. Ford discontinued their Ranger line here.

A house move is forcing me to sell my Interceptor

It's on ebay here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jensen-Interc ... 691wt_1317

Makes me feel sick doing this.

Chances are it will sell for about the price of a couple of PCXs.

It was built down your way Woolley, in West Bromwich. I've just been offered £5,500 for it which I may have to accept  I've had this car for nearly half my life and I really don't want to sell.

Hey! Why not sell that Golf and buy the Jensen? :) Classic car insurance is very cheap and your girlfriend could save on gym membership fees because she would have to push the car around; you wouldn't want to fire up the engine, it'll burn through fuel like there's no tomorrow, even when it's idling.

as good as your sales tactic is, i just dont have £5500
And even classic car insurance would still be a ridiculous amount for me. Plus id probably end up writing it off anyway

Wow, what a shame you have to sell. That's a beautiful car.

It sure is, the jensen Interceptor and the Jensen FF are simply gorgeous cars and are genuine classics.
If it was me there's just no way I would sell it unless absolutely forced to.

Speaking of beautiful cars, the other day I happened upon an immaculately restored and stunningly beautiful white Citroen DS.
Two small boys were looking at it and peering through the windows.
They thought it was simply amazing and just didn't believe me when I told them it was about fifty years old, they had thought it was brand new.

The Citroen DS is such a beautiful car, Quite ahead of its time too.
Its also the type of classic you could use every day and if you look after it, Get all your money back when you sell it.

The Jensen is now sold  The new owner is planning to take it to this years Le Mans classic in early July.

The Interceptor has a lot of presence and is very good looking but the most beautiful car ever built was the series 1 E-Type Jaguar. I would love one but they're stupid money.

If you think they're stupid money, what about an XKSS...?

There were a lot of them destroyed in a fire at the factory I think. A real shame, but I'd prefer a long nose D-Type.

There's currently someone trying to sell his Interceptor for £75k. That would be a new high for a non FF or convertible.

Here's the the reason I got the PCX, it was costing me too much to commute in it and wasn't really good for the car as it's quite a short commute but now I have the PCX I can keep it as a toy :D

Whoa, gorgeous. That's a lot of power too.

I can see why that would cost a lot to commute on... There's only one way to drive something that fast. :D

Cheers Maddie, yeah it's a little quicker than the PCX ;)

As you can see from my updated signature the PCX is a tiny bit more economical though o_O
