GOT MY NEW 2015 PCX150

I got my new 2015 PCX150 on Tuesday. It was worth the wait !!!
I rode it home from the dealership on the interstate, getting
96 miles per gallon on that first ride. That miles per gallon
figure has now climbed to 101.

The 2015 model is one beautiful machine. Several people
who saw me riding it said that they thought it was a small
sport bike. Honda got the styling right on this one.

I had two color choices: Black or white. After seeing them
side by side at the dealer, I came to this conclusion:

White PCX150 : Pretty

Black PCX150: Sporty, purposeful look

I chose the black color. I could have lived with the white one,
but the black one just grabbed me and said "take me home" ; of
course, others would disagree completely, which is fine. I
tend to lean toward black motorcycles. Three of the last four
motorcycles that I owned previously were black. The other one
(a Honda ST1100 Sport / Touring bike) was red.....only because
it wasn't available in black that year.

This scooter is a joy to ride. Several motorcycle magazine testers
have said that it handles like a small sport bike. I agree. And for
$ 3,870 out the door price (which included a full 5 year warranty) made
the deal even sweeter. The only additional cost was $ 25 for a tag
at my local DMV office.

I've never added a photo on this forum , so I hope it works.

Congratulations for the new scooter, and we all look forward to having a look at it! ;)

Perhaps the process of uploading a picture didn't work correctly, as I can't see it... When I want to post a picture I go to tinypic.com and you can upload it from there. When the image has been uploaded, you can simply copy the line that says "link for forums and message boards" (or something like that), and then the image appears here:

The image I have just uploaded needed I to copy this from tinypic to paste it here:

Note: I have erased the "h" from "http" and changed it for a *, so that the link does not work, and you can see how it would look like when you are uploading your picture ;)

You must have done some serious talking to get you PCX for well under four grand OTD. Nice work, and congrats on the new scoot!

I LIKE IT! Johnny
5 year warranty umm, I don't remember that part. I'm at 400 miles odometer and mpg is up a tick to 106... but 'Shay Whitey' is getting her wheels under her and seemingly running stronger and certainly faster. Or maybe I'm just getting more confident out there in the world of monster metal. Black is beautiful right? Whatcha going to name her?

I don't know where you live (uh oh  ) but the price you paid was great, and to rub it in more :? 5 years warranty was tossed in. BAM! Fabulous ;) Even $25.00 for registration was low.
Hmm...where do you live? Curious minds want to know?
I have the White (lightening fast :D ) 2015 and I paid $4,000 OTD. Yikes! Are ya still there jblye? Get up! Believe it! N.Y. wants Lots of this > $$$
And I chewed him down. Bad chewing, no great shakes :|
Congrats! well done negotiating :P Enjoy your sexy black ride!

Wait! please add your location! Look Below what I just wrote. Yeah, there! :D directions to add it. Cool

I received a quote of $ 3,595 OTD from the Florence, SC dealer first.
Then, I asked the Columbia, SC dealer if he would match it. He
reluctantly agreed to do so, so I bought it from the Columbia dealer
because it was much closer to my home. I bought an extended
Honda warranty ( one year standard warranty plus 4 years additional
warranty) at a discounted price to bring the total to $ 3, 870.
With the tag, my TOTAL cost was $ 3, 895.

The extended warranty would be a good selling point if I decide
to try something else after 2 or 3 years. The warranty is
transferrable.

No, I paid the entire cost with my Visa credit card at no extra charge (which will give
me 3,870 frequent flyer points !! ). By the way: The Columbia, SC dealer's name is Carolina
Honda.

Congratulations on your new bike!

I stopped to look at a 2015 PCX150i today. Best out the door price I got was $4130. I didn't bite. (including taxes and tags.)

The guy said he'd sell me a 2013 for $3300 out the door. I think if I could get one for $3870 I'd do it.

^^ If my memory serves me right DE, I think someone on the forum from Ohio bought a 2015 for 3,800 OTD. I was surprised then too! Such a Great price!
Question is, who is it? You know when you know who it is but ya can't bring it forward in yer brain? Yeah! You know. Well, I'm mad I can't remember his/her name. Dang! Would that someone please step forward, (that is IF I'm remembering right at all  (stooge!) and tell us where you got yours (again).
 Geez, that was embarrassing  Worst scenario, I'm wrong altogether (be prepared, anything's possible :| )

Darth, did the $ 4,130 include an extended warranty ?
The regular price for the 5 year warranty ( 1 year + 4 more
years) is $ 350; it cost me $ 275. As I said, that was
included in the $ 3,870 OTD price.

I suspect that scooters of any type would be cheaper in SC than
some places, as this is not really a "scooter" state..........
mostly non-helmet-wearing Harley and Harley clones riders.
There are also a lot of 50cc mopeds in our area of SC. I suspect
that many of those are riding mopeds because of DUI histories.
We call those type of mopeds " liquor cycles".

One of my friends has a full size dresser type Harley. He has
already asked me to ride with him !!! Now wouldn't that be
a sight to behold.......

They said nothing about the extended warranty.

I sent an email to the dealer and said I'd buy a 2015 for $3895 OTD with tags. The responded with "$4163 is our best."

So, I'll be waiting a while.

They offered me a 2013 for $3300. They have several 2013s they are trying to sell and they said they have about $900 in incentives for those.

I am not interested in a 2013 unless it's used or salvaged and I can get it for under $2k. I'd use it as a donor bike for a Ruckus swap.

Yes, it would seem the dealers are in a bad place if they overstocked earlier models. They won't be able to give them away after such a makeover. I will take one if they dump them on the market low enough just to have a loaner bike.

I just recently bought my girl a 2013 and we have no regrets. There is no doubt the upgrades to the 2015 are nice, but with some modding, her 2013 is looking great. Unless you HAVE to have those factory upgrades, the 2013 is no slouch.

Why wait? $268 is chicken feed in the whole scheme of things. There's an opportunity cost in not having it to ride while you wait. Also, they may not have one when you later decide to get it.

I already have 2 other scooters (a Ruckus and a Forza). The Ruckus is in the shop for an engine swap, so I've been riding the Forza this summer.

So, I don't really need another scoot. As my husband says "you can only ride one at a time." I just really like the 2015 PCX, but I'll only buy it if I feel that I get a great deal on it.

I was really thinking that if I got the PCX, then maybe I could get my husband to consider riding with me.

It might be "chicken feed," but it's a lot of money to spend if it just sits. I may decide to get one in the spring though. Maybe the 2013s will be gone and they'll be a bit more willing to deal on the 2015s.

Back to the OP, you got a great price! Did you ever figure out how to post pictures?
