Rear Wheel noise

Anyone know what's causing this noise,
if it's fine then no problem,
but would like to know what's actually causing it,
especially as the Wheel slows down,
sounds weird.

It could simply be a bit of resistance on the brake drum, but my guess is that it is because you are spinning the wheel backwards. Does it sound the same when you spin it forward?

If you're referring to the whistling sound, mine does that when I back it up also. No idea why it makes that sound...

Wheel bearing? Final drive lacks sufficient oil? Clutch bearing needs replacement or regrease?

Its being caused by you spinning it backwards.
Don't spin it backwards and it won't make that noise.

I've had a similar noise in both of our 2013 PCX's. Both times it was the inner driven face bearing. Honda part# 91002-GA7-701

Item # 19 in the picture. although if your doing it yourself it's much easier to just replace the entire assembly. (Item #8.)

That entire assembly Driven Face #8 is only $24 US. I may just pick one up as a spare.

I agree. Hopefully this item is not on backorder any more, like it was when ours went out. It seems that more and more of the 2013s are showing up with this problem. I am guessing that there were a batch of bad or improperly packed bearing assemblies that went into production bikes. Just buy one of those replacement parts and take care of the problem yourself, before it fails while you are riding.

Any reports of next gen 14's or 15's having this bearing issue?

Here's a quick upload of the noise I'm getting.. I don't think it's the torque driver..

I heard it in person
told him there was a bad noise
sounds like a bearing to me, grindy when spinning the wheel either direction

I thought the gear oil has no oil, or bearing in the gears is going bad was my guess

im driving the car in the morning. i think it's the torque driver needs new grease. already tore everything apart and regreased everything. now i just need time to clean out the variator... time to order new rollers too while i'm at it.

Wow, could hardly believe the noise coming from that wheel! Reminds me of the phrase from Aliens 'you've blown the trans-axle - grinding metal on metal'.
