Dead Forza

I cranked up the bike to go to work the other day. Everything was normal... it idled while I put on my helmet and jacket. Got on and gave it some gas. It went about 10 feet, then died and wouldn't restart. The dealer came and picked it up a couple of hours ago. He said that it would be first in line to get fixed in the morning.

Could be something as simple as a dead battery.
You should have waited till you were ready to ride off before starting.
There's no point letting it sit idling.
Get on, start, ride away immediately.

Yes, still under warranty. Battery's fine. Lights and starter work. I always like to let it warm up for a minute... the parts are made to fit at operating temperature.

It doesnt get to operating tempeature dlig for a couple of minutes, all you are doing is increasing wear.

Even hough the lights and stuff work ok the battery can still be a dud.

Just got a call from my dealer. He says the spark plug was fouled. Probably from bad gas. I always get my gas at the same place, so I'm going to have to shop somewhere else. Dealer also said that spark plugs aren't covered under warranty, so it's going to cost $20. Oh, well.

I'm sure it would have no problem sitting and idling all day.

I have me doubts, but if this is the case remember you still have bad gas in the tank or has the dealer changed it out.

^ good point. If so, siphon old gas, add new then ride.
They charged for a new spark plug? Geez. Not very biker friendly. What's the globe coming too? :|

Considering that they also came and got the bike (I live 30 miles from the dealer) I can't complain. They also drained the tank and put a half gallon of new gas in.

Well for $20 you got your money's worth out of them. It is usually a $45 charge to come out and get it. That is why I haveĀ insuranceĀ that has motorcycle towing.
