Ohlin Shock Absorbers

Post by Benggolf »

Does anyone know what is the specific part number for a set of Ohlin shock absorbers to replace the rear OEM shocks on the 2014 Forza? Where will one be able to buy/order these?

Furthermore, what can you do to improve the front shocks? They feel quite soft; am only 165 lbs riding solo 98% of the time.

Depemnds what you mean by "improve".
If you want them firmer its a simple matter of adding spacers above the springs and using a thicker oil.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Great post there gn2. Has anyone thought about a guide on how to fit spacers and what weight oil might be good for a little more firmness ? Are the standard fork/shock springs removable for replacement with stiffer/progressive items? Agree completely that this is a cost effective and practical mod !

I'm suspecting so but that's a hefty price for fakes

Dont know yet, but they are the best choice for the moment, i am still looking for more informations, but thats not easy to find.
Im looking also for tips for unbold the shocks, the bottom bolts are easy to manage with a 14 socket spanner.
But top bolts are not easy to reach, and i need power and space to unbolt that.
