really need replacement fairings now

Post by woozy-uk »

scuffed the right front fairing more as the traffic was gridlocked and trying to push past i scuffed into a traffic light island on the way home tonight    more gutted now

why do the panels have to cost so much, they are so fragile too. Anyone know of a place i can buy the whole panels and pay for them over 3 months ?

thanks

You might be able to do a buy now pay later thing with paypal through ebay.

Really though, why bother? You'll just scuff them again!

Ah, I see, you were going very slowly when a kerbstone jumped out at you.
Well that's entirely different.

i was moving between a stationary car and kerb, the traffic was gridlocked. had other bikes behind me. the curb pellican crossing light concrete was quite high and clipped the bike. its on camera if i really have to prove im not riding aggressively! stop jumping to conclusions!

Didn't say you were riding aggresively, but if you can't avoid hitting road furniture you're not much of a rider.

Don't let it get you down woozy! Wear your battle scars with pride! All it says to me is that you are someone who isn't afraid to USE their scooter! If the plastics are the only thing wrong with the PCX, I would leave it until you get some more experience under your belt. Wait until you go a couple months without any problems and then look into replacements. That will also give you some time to save the $$ needed and if that's not enough time that eBay/PayPal option that maddiedog mentioned might be worth looking at. Don't haste onto fixing them right away, because it would sure suck to spend the money on new plastics only to scuff them a short while after. Have you tried a black permanent marker for the time being?

I had a pilot's licence.
Never crashed but nearly did when I had an EFATO with a glider in tow.
Managed to get it down in a field that was nowhere near big enough according to the flight manual.
Stopped about ten feet short of a ditch.

yeah life sucks for you, your brand new honda scooter has a scuff, your yacht is too big for your docks, the butler wants a pay rise and your caviars gone moldy...

^^ Sounds like no fun at all.... I once had an engine sputter and fail, But I was in a twin, and was able to restart it.. Even that made me wake up a little.

Another time in a Cessna 172 I was taking off and got caught in a downdraft... Pitched for Vy, (best rate of climb) and was still descending.... Turned toward a field and after getting back in ground effect was able to speed it up and pull outta it. That day I nearly shit my pants, and as a result, i hate flying 172s.... In my experience they're a little underpowered =]
