Will they make a PCX300 ?

Post by Honda4me »

Hi All, I have been reading here and there talk about a 300 PCX. With the Forza already in place I was wondering if there was any truth in the gossip?

Can't see why they wouldn't try a larger motor in the PCX frame but unless they drop the Forza I can't really see much point.

Anways, probably a non-issue but thought I'd ask those who may be more in the know than me.

Cheers!

what have you been reading? wishful banter of some forums, or something more solid? please share if you have any gossip worth sharing.

i dont really see a PCX with a 300cc engine happening. the bike is designed for a small engine and the speeds that go along with one. a small bump from 124 to 153cc is one thing, but i would be very surprised if they put a 300cc engine in this package.

Seems to me that it would be redundant with the Forza.

The Forza is a PCX300 in all but name.
A 200cc engine in the existing PCX frame and bodywork would make sense though.

If you want one badly enough and are prepared to spend some cash there are big bore kits available.
No guarantee of quality or how long the engine will last with one fitted, but the parts are out there.

cessna151-

Except for the underseat lighting, you just described a down-sized forza.

Regardless, it is good to see more scooters coming into the US. If we get enough diversity here, it may finally make Americans wake up to the joy of riding them. I don't think I have ever been on a bike bad enough that I didn't like it, preferences aside.

Key words "down-sized." It's simply more economical. I want a 200. ;)

Depends how you ride it.
There are 15 Burger 200s listed on Spritmonitor.de and between them they average 84mpg.
My Forza averages 78mpg so there's really not much in it.
Given the reduced maintenance requirement of the Forza with its 8000 mile service intervals, the Forza could work out cheaper to run overall.
