Hello from St. Louis

Post by Kermit »

New to the forum. My husband and I got our matched set of PCXs about a year ago. Love 'em!

I've tried twice to include a photo, to no avail. Just picture one red one and one black one, and you'll get the idea.

Nice to meet y'all!

Okay, seriously, are there instructions for posting images on this forum? I've uploaded my image 6 times, each time smaller and smaller, onto ImageShack, and it's now as small as it will go, but the forum says it's too big???? I don't generally have this issue, although I'm not ruling out user error. :)

I use "Easy Thumbnails" to get my pictures small enough to post. Before I used that, mine were also always too big to post. And Hello and Welcome to you!

If you can find a graphics package that can resample the picture, you can set the change to pixels and try to get it in the 800 X 600 pixel area.
Currently own:

Yes, pretty much like that, but reverse the "his" and "hers" colors! :) And remove the ocean from the background. :(

Thanks for the warm welcome, all! And the advice on the pictures. I was using ImageShack, and tried their resizing several times...got it down to 200x260 or something close to that, but the forum still said it was too big, so I suspect maybe the two just don't play nicely together. I'll try PhotoBucket next time.

gokidd, yes we have Blues here...and Cardinals...and Rams. But I'm not really into hockey. And I'm a lifelong Cubs fan (it's a genetic defect in my family, not to mention a thankless job). And by default, I'm a pseudo-Cowboys fan because my husband loves them...so much that we named our little black pug Emmitt. :)

Welcome to hondapcx.org

I had trouble with resizing pics as well, particularly to get one small enough for my profile pic. GN2 put me onto this application called VarieDrop. Here is a link to it.

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/variedrop.html

After you load it, just open the folder where the pics are that you want to resize, then drag and drop the pic into the box that is set to the size you want. Automatically as subfolder will be created that contains the resized pic and your original stays where it was. It looked a little complicated at first, but turned out to be quite easy. I really like it.

Per a request in a PM, I've increased the upload size limit. Try again.
