Strange noises

Post by logepoge1 »

Has anyone experienced strange noises coming from the engine area? I can't reproduce them with it on center stand but I can hear them all the time when driving. Kind of a clicking and grinding sound. Can't home in on a location though. Any ideas? I can't even describe the sound well

I have always had the bb's in a tin can rattle sound in the engine that is common with the small Hondas. It is a near normal sound that hasn't changed and is nothing to worry about. No way to know what your noise is.

"Bb's in a tin can" is the sound I get as well ... it sounds like you don't need to be too concerned about it ... no pun intended.

You're likely referring to the CVT "shudder" on takeoff. Is the noise continous, or just sometimes?

I don't think bb's in a tin can is normal. o_O

Pretty much all the time. Listen closer. It is probably there. It is somewhat common on the CBR250R also.
