Looks pretty cheap to me but quality looked ok in store

Wow, really cheap... I wonder how well they work though. I can't imagine they are too effective or durable at that price.

I went for these hand warmers from Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001THB8RM they stay warm for up to 7 hours which is ideal for me. I bought them for going between Glasgow and Inverness which takes about 6hours (via Glencoe/Lochness) not had a chance to try them yet but the reviews were 'glowing' :)

The heated insoles look interesting but they use a lot of battery power. Do those hand warmer things you got from amazon warm your fingers or just the palm of your hand?

Tried them today and was pretty disappointed with the heat they gave off...they work better if you can take them out of the glove now and again to let oxygen react with the pad which makes them heat up, obviously not great for motorbiking but better than nothing at all.
