I am posting this link but please be warned its EXTREMELY GRAPHIC but is the reason i wear fully armoured trousers,jacket and gloves for every trip on my pcx.

Wow, that'll scare you into ATGATT....

I've been wearing a riding jacket and gloves lately, I got a set that is breezy enough for the hellish summers we have here.

The shock factor will hit some people for a while but then the "it would never happen to me" phase comes back.

My philosophy is that a rider should wear gear that is appropriate to the environment.
If it's hellish roasting hot it's probably safer to wear cooler clothing so that you are comfortable and can concentrate properly.
Same goes for cold climates, you can't think properly if you're frozen through so get decent warm gear and don't skimp on gloves.
Really doesn't matter what you wear, nothing will protect you if the worst happens.
Whether you will be injured in a collision is down to sheer luck, some people get up without a scratch from truly shocking crashes while others get killed.
There's no rhyme or reason to it at all.
If you want to be really safe, don't ride.

There's a valuable lesson learned then, liveleak is full of video nasties and should be avoided like the plague.
It is a thoroughly vile and odious website imo.
