My son has been riding our 2019 PCX150 around campus for 2 years with the seat alignment tabs OUTSIDE the helmet well. I am pretty sure they are supposed to go inside the helmet storage well. I have tried bending them inwards, but they have been outside for so long that they keep warping back to the outside. I think I will try a heat gun next.
This issue could have a bearing on proper locking of the seat. Those having trouble getting their seat to lock should check for this issue and make sure the vertical alignment tabs track inside the storage well instead of outside. This might be even more of a problem if it only happed on one side and caused an asymmetry in the seat closure.
