Should I Buy a cheap kindle

Whats up guys I need your ideas. Do you think I should get the Kindle EBook Reader? I am pondering of purchasing it for my family as a birthday present however I could use your advices first.
Perhaps there is something else entirely better I will be able to get by myself for a comparable price??

i work in a shop called cex, we buy and sell second hand games and dvds, as well as gadgets like the kindle. We have a few ebook readers come in, alot of cheaper knockoff versions of the kindle that people think would be just as good and buy them to save money. Sometimes im the one testing them before we buy them in off customers. From what ive seen none of them come close to the kindle, they just feel cheap and nasty and are horrible to use. If your going to buy an ebook reader buy the kindle, none of the others come close. They look good on the internet but are just shite.

I have a Kindle, it's awesome!
