THinking about a pcx 125 demo model

Post by fullmetalscooter »

I ve sat on the pxc 125 a while back but didn't like seating position but from what I ve read it can be change to be more like the pxc 150 right? The dealer wants 2500 bucks plus there crappy 500 bucks for docs etc. By the time I get back to where I live it would be 3500 vs 4200 out the door price for a 150. What ever I buy is going to end up as my transport for 4 or 5 years. MPG are almost the same. Carb vs EFJ. Top speed isnt an issue. What really better here?

The 125 and 150 are essentially the same scooter.
150 slightly better acceleration and top speed but nothing to get excited about.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

All pcx have same seat position and all are EFI...
get a 125 if you want 100+mpg
get a 150 if you want speed

Realistically they are the same bike but with a bigger engine. Parts interchange easily. We have a 150 and it is freeway certified vs the 125 which isn't. If speed is no issue then the 125 may be fine for you. We don't go on the freeway with it but it handles hills quite nicely. My wife keeps up with my Burgman 400 with little effort. I guess if I cranked the Burgman up to around 90 MPH she would be left behind, but why go that fast ?
