Need some advice

Hello ya'll, first of thanks for the add here to this group. I'm currently looking at purchasing my first bike and there's a 2020 Honda PCX 150 for sale here locally in Houston. It has about 850 miles and they are selling it for 3,999 dollars. It's candy luster red.

Do you guys think that's a good deal or is there better to be found? Thanks so much and look forward to hearing your responses!!

Hi MotoNoob, welcome to the group!

That price seems a bit high, but ALL vehicles...especially ones that get great gas mileage, are very expen$ive right now. The biggest upside of a used vehicle is that you don't have to pay freight or setup charges. These can have a huge impact on the out-the-door price and are definitely something to consider.

That being said, most dealers don't jack up the prices on new scooters based on what the market will bear (though some do). A quick search on CycleTrader shows several new 2020 and 2021 PCXs that are being sold for $3,999 or less (before fees). With the used market the way it is right now, I would probably go for a new one. If you are willing to travel a bit I bet you could find a good deal.
