2016 flat batttery, no nil power & key will not turn

Post by bfisher »

Hi guys,

Looking for answers as tried many things & can't find any relevant topics on the www.

Honda forza 2016; battery went dead over about a 6 week period; replaced battery but i still have a major problem - i cannot turn key in the ignition; i see no HISS light flashing; i have checked ALL 3 fuse boxes & associated fuses + fuse in the starter relay; all are good. No power anywhere.. hazards etc..

Side-stand moved up & down incase that was the problem forums sometimes indicate kill switch there can cause issues. . .

Maybe the dead battery is leading me to think there is an electrical problem but seems to coincidental.

Q. is the ignition lock electronic in any capacity?

I am at a loss where to look next. . . . the bike is in like new condition; is always garaged.

I have been having a problem with my Canadian 2014 Forza 300. I could not turn or remove the key.

I found out that my seat/left glovebox switch had broken its centering spring. If I manually centered the switch everything was OK.

The Canadian scooter does not have HISS.

Very handy to know, though it has not happened to me (yet), I will know where to look first :)
Keep the rubber side down
