Hi,

I bought Pro Honda GN4 10W-30 SJ Engine Oil for my PCX. The oil says it's MA standard JASO T 903. My PCX owner's manual calls for MB standard JASO T 903. Can I use this MA standard oil or not?

If I need MB standard oil, where can I get it?

It's been way too difficult to find oil that satisfies the three standards set out in the PCX owner's manual:

(1) JASO T 903 standard: MB

(2) SAE standard: 10W-30 (the oil I got DOES satisfy this standard, but not the MB std above)

(3) API classification: SG or higher.

You’ll be fine, use any major brand automotive oil that’s 10W-30 or 10W-40. It’s a scooter, not an F1 race engine.

Motul full synthetic 10w30 is MB rated, available on amazon. JASO states MA rated oil has additional friction additives for motorcycles with wet clutch, which most scooters do not have. They also state the MA oil will negatively affect gas mileage. Unfortunately, you are correct that in scooter unfriendly USA that oil is not easy to find. I have also found it through Walmart on line.
