Average cost to remove and replace both tires?

Thanks to user connelite's inspiration I decided to pickup MCG 2 tires at the larger size. I'm kind of sort of having an issue finding the proper place to go to have these installed. I just saw a YouTube video on how to do this manually and I'm NOT going to try that. I was hoping that you can tell me more or less how much I can expect to be charged to do this job?

Using current Google rate, here it costs US$8.99 per wheel. 75% off if I just bring in the wheels and new tyres instead of the whole scooter. But will need to borrow a car, or another bike that can carry the wheel. Last time I tried to do everything myself I only got to breaking the bead of the tyres. Maybe I'll try again next time for the front. For the rear, it was a lot of effort, maybe always better to just hoop in to the new tyre, go, and just pay in full.

I know for sure it will cost much for it here in the US. What country are you from?

Some shops will charge more,if you didn't buy from them [tire]. If you deliver the scooter to the shop for total job, could be allot [maybe $100.00 -
200.00. Taking the wheels off and bringing those in will save you quite a bit. My guess.......$25.00 - $50.00 per tire [mounted] Independent
shops likely nearer 25.00 If you put high mileage on your scoot......might be worth learning to do it yourself. Frequent tire replacement might head
you in that direction. Like anything.......it gets easier with right tools and practice. I'm not "there" yet, but getting better and it sure beats the
logistics of delivering/pickup etc. not to mention saving $$$$

Remove the wheels yourself. If you don't have the tools (Like I didn't) go to harbor freight. Buy an electric impact and socket set (under $100).

Then remove the wheels, take them to a mom and pop shop that will charge $20 or less for both. Then install and return all the tools you bought.

Ive had scooter tires replaced a lot, and never paid over $10 per tire. Most I paid was $20 to stretch a tire on an 8" x 10" wheel for my ruckus. lol They needed ratchet straps and a Cheetah for that one. ha ha ha ha ha

Disgraceful? lmao Settle down morality captains. Its Harbor freight, King of Crap tools, they are not a small mom and pop shop, not putting anyone out of business.

Dont be mad you didnt think of it before.

Oh, I've seen people mention it before..... I stand by my earlier comments and think you are disgraceful, especially as you are lyao. I am by no means morally perfect but I always draw the line at duplicity and theft.

So you're dishonest and you're okay with that. Maybe a little pleased.
Works for me.

I just got a quote of $75 to do the job. It's the only legit service center and scooter dealer on SI so I'm going to pay the $75. Looking forward to trying out these City Grip 2s!

That's a good deal. if you are taking just the wheels [with old tires] and new tires. If you are bringing the scooter in for complete service------amazing!
Glad it worked out for you.

I'm taking the whole bike in...there was no mention of coming in with just the tires and wheels. It was honestly a better price than I expected. After stripping a 10mm bolt on doing something as simple as trying to install the GIVI Windshield I think it's best that I don't tinker too much with this bike!

That's a really good price given you have to remove the exhaust, Swing arm and changing both tires. You will love the tires.

Apparently I was confused about the price...it was $75 per tire installed. Oh well, finally got it done. I kept the IRC stock tires in case I get a flat or something since they only have 1000 miles on them and are in good shape. Also, to the guy asking about price for MCG2: I bought them from a seller on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089D ... UTF8&psc=1

120 70/14 (front)
140 70/14 (rear)

Still a pretty good deal..............Good bit of work ........dealing with the back wheel especially. Wondered how /if you were going to manage
carrying those tires on the scooter..............wonder no more! : ) Thanks for the come back.
