rear brake hose ferrules

At the Forza 300 last MOT ( UK annual inspection requirement) one of the "advisory " comments was "Brake hose has slight corrosion to "ferrules".rear brake hose..)
Any advice on ...
1...does this mean I should consider renewing the hose?...or is it possible to just renew the "ferrules"
2..Is it a difficult job to renew either or both. Indeed has anyone ever done this on a Forza( 2014) as I cannot seem to find any reference in the Technical section on the subject....and there is no guidance surprisingly in the full service manual I have...first time I have an issue not covered there.
I generally do my own maintenance but with the braking system I would not wish to take any chances....or start a job I had difficulty finishing.
I have renewed brake fluid before .
Any comment/advice appreciated...thanks.

What I would do:
Take a piece of fine sandpaper and sand the corrosion from the ferrule, degrease and apply some clear paint to the ferrule.

What I would do:

1. Run an oily rag over it.

I would tell the MOT that in Scotland that is the normal state.

Mine is so covered in mud after 147,000 km that I could not tell if it is corroded.
