And to you, gn2!

Keeping plenty safe here, "Feels like -2°F" when I woke this morning. So scoots remain in hibernation!
(I'm avid..... not stupid)

An excellent year for carpetbaggers and politicians relatives in the UK.

It was a Ringo song, co-written by George Harrison I believe.

My dogs are glad the celebration is over. They shook all night as neighbors shot off fireworks right over our house! Now it is raining out, but they can handle rain.

We acquired a new dog a couple of weeks ago to add to our two older dogs. He was a rescue and has a collapsed trachea so no one wanted him, but he is so sweet! However, he is deathly afraid of fireworks. When it all started he disappeared. We looked all over the house, and called his name. We finally looked under the bed and there he was at the far end. He would not come out even for food!

So, for those who think that it is fun to throw fireworks at dogs, keep in mind that if people don't like it done to them or their children, dogs are like little children...3 or 4 year olds. Please don't do it.

Makes me think of the "Blues Brothers" Mel . . . you are on a mission from God. 8)

Most excellent of you and your wife to rescue that pup and try to make his journey a little more comfortable.

Screw the fireworks . . . people get caught up in the excitement and just don't think sometimes. They are fun to watch but you have to use good judgement and I can tell you my cat doesn't particularly like them either. He's on "hyper patrol" checking the perimeter around my house every July 4th.

I don't like it when people fire off rockets when there's a drought. You can get a spent one that lands on dry leaves somewhere and sets someone's property on fire . . . or worse yet their house. o_O
