I don't need a lock, the ugly scooter is safe.

Here in Thailand me and my friends have occasionally forgotten our key in ignition and left it on the beach or in the mall parking even...! Bike never touched..., many people leave their expensive helmets unlocked on the seat and go away... - ones thing you got love about this place...!!! , of course your survival rate on the road is pretty low, but they don't steal your stuff.... !

I have occasionally accidentally left my key in the scooter or other bikes. Not a problem in Canada.

I have a Never lock mine here in Florida. I have a handlebar/brake lever lock but only used it when I worked in Denver. :)

I use a Xena disc lock and an Oxford chain. I live in Outer London, and was surprised to find only 2 insurers would insure my bike.

Thanks I do have a lock I used on the Integra, but think its gonna be too big, one of those Oxford Boss D shackle jobs. Good lock thou. Probably grab the Xena, and a litleock for when out and about. Now as long as the lorries around DOver arent too bad should only be an hour or so :)

Well the Xena lock was out of stock, so grabbed an Oxford Magnum U Lock & a Litelock Moto 108, both are rated Motorcycle gold, so hopefully when out and about this will deter opportunists. Possibly some money off at insurance renewal time too.

for the first year that I was driving my Forza to work (6 miles each way) I used the combination lock supplied by the garage that sold me the bike.

My Forza 300 has an infra red locking system, keyless ,similar to most cars have using a remote fob. I found this hilarious at first as I much preferred the key in the ignition, but as time has passed I have got very used to turning the knob on the dashboard and then just walking away from the scooter e.g. outside a supermarket, you just engage the steering lock in combination with the knob and job done, so I hardly ever use the combination lock now , still have it in the seat though

Any braided cable such as that can be cut through in seconds by thieves using small cutters, which is why I do not use them for my push-bike let alone scooter. Instead I use a 12mm shackle lock (Abus) for the push bike and 10mm thick loop 2m chain for parking when shopping.
