NCY Variator RPM Question

Hey all, I searched and searched, but I could not find an answer to my specific question:

Would a NCY Variator allow me to cruise at say 55-60 mph at a lower RPM than stock?

There are some nice back-country highways with limits at 55 MPH that I really want to run, but I think I would feel better if the engine rpms were just slightly lower (doesn't have to be drastic)
I think this would also perhaps give me more reserve power(?) for hills and such.

If so, would I need the whole kit, or just the variator?
If not, would anything allow me to do that? Lower rpms at top speeds?

I have a 2017 with NCY variator and Driveface. Cruising at 55 I'm around 7500rpms... 65 around 8200-8500. Then creeps to 74-75 at redline before the bigger tires.

If you are trying to cruise at higher speeds, upgrade your tires to a bigger size. MUUUCH more stable at those speeds and gives you more reserve from 55+. Im on the limiter around 77-78mph.

Add:
- Bigger tires front and rear to help stability
- NCY Variator and Driveface
- 11-13g sliders

Awesome! Thank you! From other posts, it sounds like this would reduce the RPM from stock about 500-ish rpm or so at that speed? Seems good to me!

Do you have any recommended tire sizes? From a quick search I see some posts taking about 120/70 rear and 110/70 front? would these work on stock rims? (I'm not really wanting to make modifications to fit, just a slight bump up)

This is what I run. I want to say this is the biggest you can go without clearance issues.

Front: 120/70R14
Rear: 140/70R14

As a side note - don't know if this is an issue for you good folks, but in my parts doing mods like that would 100% invalidate my insurance.
