Front rear brake switch

Post by ARMDILLO »

Got the new Forza 2014, the switch for the rear brake/engine start. My rear brake light will not come from the side. Works ok for the right side brake lever. The engine start works ok when you pull it hard and I can hear the switch click. Bad brake connection? Thanks for the input.

Can’t seem to edit the bad grammar. So I will rewrite, The left brake light switch does not seem to work. I can hear it click and it starts ok when you pull it hard. checkIng it with circuit meter, shows that it is a live circuit all the time, is the brake light part of the switch broken? Thanks The right side works ok the brake light comes on when you pull the lever as it should. Thanks

The left side switch unit has two separate switches and circuits in it.
One is for the brake light and the other one activates the starter.
The right side brake light switch cannot activate the starter, it is brake light only.
If the brake light does not come on when pressing the left lever, the switch unit needs changed.
I went through about four of these, they are extremely poor quality.
In the UK you can get pattern ones cheaper than genuine Honda ones.
The quality is the same, the price isn't.

Duh! Once again old age does its worst - I forgot I was on the Forza page - having a PCX and a Forza tends to get you muddled when you are as old and stupid as me!
