Stormy Horizon

There were severe thunderstorm warnings north of my town today. Mention of quarter size hail and 60 MPH wind gusts with downpours were predicted. Nothing like what's in store for the Gulf Coast of Louisiana and Texas though.

We dodged the bullet in the Panhandle this time, but still got nearly 7" rain in about 5 hours. Flooded roads everywhere but we escaped without any issues. :)

That is a "boat load" of rain . . ..

Glad everything is OK in the immediate area where you live.

I keep hearing the "Turn around don't drown" advice in the news when they forecast extreme rain events up here.

One time I do remember being surprised by a deep puddle in a dirt parking lot and never forgot it. My momentum carried me through until my front wheels could get traction again fortunately.

If I's a scooter riding dog - my tail'd be waggin' looking at that sky.
It's about to get fun!

It's sunny and hot here in Missouri. No rain for a few weeks. I haven't mowed for three weeks now. The grass is brown mostly and crunchy.
