Phone Accessories

Post by QuiGonJohn »

I'd like to, possbily, add two things to my 2015 PCX-150. First a good phone mount, that would securely hold my iPhone 6 (in it's Otter Box). And also some kind of USB Charger. Either an actual USB Charger I could wire in or wire in a cigarette lighter and use one of those kind of chargers. This would be for my phone and when needed, SENA 5.

Is anyone familiar with good options for these?

I found, to the left of the center console a door that comes off and has a big open hole, not sure what this is for on the bike.

I can do that. I just thought maybe some folks here would have some real good options, specific to the PCX150.

That’s what I gave you. The ram mounts are about the best thing you can use on any motorcycle. You will see there are many different adapters to decide how you want to mount

Oh, I just thought you were saying to google mount holders, didn't realize the RAM was to be part of the search. You know, like when some people throw the word RAM into anything computer related. I'll take a look, thanks.

Here is a link to their outlet store. You can locate what you are interested in and use the part number to try to locate the part at a cheaper price on the web.

And here is a link to their bases, which are necessary and worthwhile.

This is the one I was thinking of. I think I can mount it to the handlebar, right at the center, between the 2 sets of bolts that hold the handlebar to the top of the fork.

Oh, and I feel so stupid. I looked in the manual about that compartment, saw it is the "Front Box" and that it has a cigarette light outlet. So I just need to find a good quality USB charger designed to plug into a cigarette lighter, and preferably one that does not light up (to minimize wasting battery energy).

I use this one - it fits flush in socket so still leaves space. I run cable out of glove box and to my phone on the handlebars. I found that if you push the lid firmly it will close on the cable with no problem. For a cleaner option you could drill a hole out of the glove box and route inside.
