I decided to take the XMax to the grocery store today.
I only needed a few things . . .. Apples and berries don't last forever so those were a must have. The chocolate chip cookies I could've lived without but I figured while I was in there . . . well may as well get 'em.
So I walked in with my Hi-Viz vest and Full Face Helmet.
They only allow half the store capacity in at one time . . .. There was a guy at the door with a surgical face shield on so I figured he must have been the "bean counter". The sneeze shields are installed at all the registers etc . . . .
I'd say maybe half the people were wearing some kind of face mask.
I could sense the eyes on me with the "space suit" as I strove to get what I needed and go. Perhaps it will make some people realize this virus is no joke. Surely it must have made them think . . ..
For me it was more about avoiding a sneeze attack than anything else. I know there's no filtration but better than nothing.
All that said as I worked my way through the store it kind of reminded me of a movie from the '60's.
I found myself back out on the road wondering if there will be a shortage of full face motorcycle helmets soon. Masks are tough to come by . . ..

I took my bike out yesterday and the day before. I carry a N95 face mask in my inside jacket pocket, and a Lysol wipe in a ziplock bag in another pocket. I kept my riding gloves on until I absolutely needed contact, like the Redbox DVD rental. Then I took out my wipe, wrapped it around my finger, and touched the screen. I was surprised that it worked, but it did. When buying groceries I used the wipe to clean the touchpad and counter. The wipe went in the trash after I wiped the bottom of the bags.
