Rear Passenger Armrests? NSS300A

Post by dank_nipples »

Hey all, new to the forum and the Forza! My '85 CH250 blew up on my way home from work on Xmas eve, and I have been waiting for a good deal to come along on a new scoot. I just picked up a 2014 NSS300A a couple days ago with 3,800 miles, pretty much brand new condition, for only $2,400! I feel like it was a pretty amazing deal and I am really loving this thing. My 6 year old son likes to ride with me, so I am looking for a rear backrest that has arm rests that he can hold on to, but am not really finding anything on the sites like BikeBandit and such, or eBay. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, do you have to choose between the trunk or a rear passenger backrest, or can you bolt on both? My Forza came with the Honda trunk and upgraded windshield as extras, but the trunk is kind of chintzy and rattles constantly with nothing in it, so I wouldn't mind taking it off anyways. Any help would be appreciated, TIA! :D

I have never seen any rear arm rests but maybe you could get a welder to make you one.

The place where the top box attaches is not that strong.

The end of the world is not that far away so it might not be worth the effort !!!

Maybe you could wear a big belt and he grabs that.

It’s not a huge deal, he will only get bigger and rides fine hanging onto the little rails already on it, if he hangs on at all, but just thought it would be cool if I could find something like that. At least the trunk gives him something to lean against. I did find a backrest with armrests on some Japanese website but it was $200+ shipping from Japan. Not really sure if I’m looking to spend that much.
