Need Help Installing the Seat Spring

Post by scootindude »

I removed the seat on my 2017 PCX 150 and I can't figure out how to put the spring (that holds the seat up) back in properly.

Maybe a visual of my 2015 seat hinge/spring will help?

They have a spring?? Does the 2013 model have a spring? I've never noticed a spring, and I take my seat off at least once every couple of months. What is it for?? My seat falls all by itself if I don't tie it up, but that is gravity.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

My 2013 didn't have a spring and would not stay up unless I leaned it against the front. However my 2016 does have a spring. In my picture it is the wide shiny thing that passes under the cross member with the two bolt heads.
